Drugstore Date Night / Valentine's Makeup Tutorial

For those of you off on a date with someone new, your partner, or with your girl-friends this Valentine's Day here is a natural, cute but flirty pink toned makeup look that accentuates your eyes. This makeup look doesn't just have to be worn on Valentine's Day you can wear it whenever you like! I've used all affordable high-street products so they're all readily accessible in your local Boots or Superdrug.

• Start with cleansed and moisturised skin.
• Apply an illuminating primer with your fingertips - Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer

• Apply your favourite foundation with a buffing brush or a dampened sponge - L'Oreal Infallible 24-H-Matte (10 Porcelain)
• Apply concealer to any redness or imperfections that show through your foundation - L'Oreal True Match Concealer (2 Vanille)
• Apply a concealer thats 1-2 shades lighter than your foundation underneath your eyes to hide any dark circles and to brighten - Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (1 Fair)

• Apply a pink blusher to the apples of your cheek and blend up your cheekbone towards your hairline - Sleek Blush By 3 Palette (icing sugar and pink mint mixed together)
• Apply a cream highlighter to the tops of your cheekbones - Topshop Glow Pot (Polished)
• Apply a cool toned powder contour into the hollows of your cheeks and lightly below your bottom lip to make them look fuller - NYX Powder Blush (Taupe)
• Blend a light dusting of bronzer to the outer perimeters of your face to give some warmth and glow to your skin - Soap and  Glory Solar Powder
• Set your under-eyes and t-zone with a translucent or skin toned powder to keep the makeup in place all day or night and to prevent excess shine - Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder (52 Vanilla)

• With your ring finger or a fluffy brush, apply a pink shimmery cream eyeshadow all over your eyelids from inner corner to outer corner and up to the crease - Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr (Pink Gold)
• Next apply a mid toned brown colour into the crease to define your eyes more - Wet n Wild Colour Icon Palette (Walking on Eggshells) 
• Define and shape your brows with a brow pencil that suits your eyebrow colour - Soap and Glory Brow Archery (Love is Blonde) and set into place using a clear mascara or brow gel - Collection Colour Lash (1 Clear)
• Apply a dark brown eyeliner to the tightline (top waterline between your lashes and your eyeball) - Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil (Sable Brown)
• Curl your eyelashes and apply your favourite mascara - Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara (Very Black)

Apply a lip stain so that your lip colours lasts but wears off evenly too - Revlon Colour Burst Lacquer Balm (Demure) with a touch of Revlon lip gloss (Bellini) in the centre of the lips.
